Event Summary

Due to site conditions at Dorris Ranch Park in Springfield we will be hosting the 2025 series at Oak Hill School on a weeknight course design.

Course Description

Twilight Cyclocross 2025 is a series of four races on Wednesday evenings of September. The course will be mostly grass with some dirt and rocks, roughly 1.1 mile laps with some pavement and short to moderate climbs. There will be 2 or more barriers per lap.

Come experience this laid back and scenic venue just minutes from downtown Eugene!

These events are for everyone from beginners to elite athletes.

Registration

Pre-registration for races will be open online until 1pm on the day of each race. After this time, you must register on site.

On site registration will open at 5pm each day and close 15 minutes before each start time. A 2025 Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA) license is required to race; you may provide your license number or purchase a temporary license ($5).

Rules

  • Review category upgrade rules!

  • Race numbers on the left side.

  • All racers must visit the check-in tent to report their race number

  • Cyclocross numbers will be assigned to riders at their first race

  • Please re-use your race number for the series

  • Helmets required at all times on the bike at the race venue

  • Dogs are not allowed at Oak Hill School.

Awards and Prizes

  • The top three racers for the series in each category will be awarded medals

  • Cumulative series points awarded to top 5 finishers of each category of each race

  • Additional prizes will be posted as the race approaches.

  • Prizes will be awarded randomly at the post-series awards party.

Registration

  • Fees

    • $15 per race ($10 for juniors)

    • $50 series registration ($35 for juniors)

    • Any racer may add an additional race on the same day for $5.

    • On-site registration - add 5 dollars to the online registration fee

    • Discounted entries are available for volunteers! If you are able to help out with setup and/or teardown, use the contact form for your entry code.

  • An Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA) license is required for participation; the 2025 annual license ($50 for adults, $10 for juniors) is available at any time at www.obra.org or one-event license ($5 for adults, free for juniors) is available for purchase with your registration.

Schedule

4:30 pm:  Check-in and pre-ride of the course opens. Please do not pre-ride before this time.

5:30 pm: Race Duration: 15 minutes

  • Junior Open (racing age 9-18)

  • Junior Women (racing age 9-18)

For Juniors, your racing age for the 2025 season is your age on December 31st, 2026. Racers with the actual age 8-11 may only race at 5:30pm. Racers with an actual age of 12 or older may also register in the 5:50 or 6:30 races.

5:50 pm: Race Duration: 40 minutes

Numbers

  • Numbers will be provided; please check in at registration for your number

  • For subsequent races, you do not need to check in

  • Numbers will be worn on the left

Safety

  • A helmet must be worn at all times when on the bike at the venue

  • Many course hazards exist, always pre-ride the course and ride within your limits

  • A qualified first aid provider is always on-site during race hours

  • OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participants.

  • Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason.

Results

Results will be posted when available at obra.org. Please address any concerns by following the link on the obra.org results page to contact the official in charge within 24 hours of posting.

Awards

Series awards for top three in each scored category. Points are awarded 5 deep in each category on the following schedule:

  • 1st - 5 points

  • 2nd - 4 points

  • 3rd - 3 points

  • 4th - 2 points

  • 5th - 1 point

Highest total the series wins.

Ties

Ties will be broken by OBRA’s standard omnium tie-breaking rules (OBRA Rules).

In case of a tie on total points, the tie will be broken in favor of the rider who has:

  • The most first place finishes or, if still tied, the most second place finishes, etc., or if still tied;

  • The highest placing in the last race, or the race nearest the last race of the omnium in which at least one of the tied riders placed.

Sanctioning

Our races are sanctioned under the rules and regulations of the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA). All rules, regulation and codes of conduct set forth by the sanctioning bodies will be in affect during the entirety of the event. OBRA membership required for all riders at OBRA sanctioned races.

Venue Information

Parking

Plentiful racer and spectator parking are a short distance from the course. Please park in identified parking areas or in overflow parking at Lane Community College a short distance away. No overnight parking allowed at the school.

Dogs

No dogs allowed on school grounds.

Camping

No overnight camping. Overnight camping is not permitted at the venue. Venue closes at sun down each evening.

Team Tents

  • For team tent/vehicle access there is priority parking available adjacent to the course. See course map for details.

  • Team tents may be setup starting at 4:30pm
