  • No day of race registration; plan aheadWe strongly encourage you to only race locally and limit your travel to other areas. If you do travel outside of your local area, please travel alone or with people from your household. Limit your interactions with others while traveling. 

This is a four part time trial series taking place on the Tuesday evening of July at McBeth Road (approx. 3 miles, paved, with 800ft of ascent). Parking and staging at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (85780 McBeth Road), 5 miles southwest of Eugene. Racers will start at 60 second intervals starting at 6:30pm on each Tuesday of the month. Map and profile here. You will have the option of a bike holder at the startline.

THERE WILL BE NO ON SITE REGISTRATION. Register online before noon of each race day.

An OBRA license is required; either an annual license ($40 for adults, $10 for juniors) or one-event license ($5 for adults, free for juniors) is available online.

Due to the generosity of racer Flo Leibowitz, juniors race for free in July! You must still register online to claim your free entry.

If you are an adult beginner racer and would like to register for the 4-race series, but the cost of race entry fee is a barrier to entry, Edition ONE Services is offering a limited number of sponsored entries. Wear your race number on your RIGHT side. You may wear your OBRA race number if you are an OBRA member; a number will be provided if you don’t have one. A helmet must be worn at all times on the bike.

Important Race Info:

Please be cautious in your descent after the race; watch for deer!

Be aware of riders in front of you. DO NOT RIDE WITH YOUR EYES DOWN.

Ride to the right of the road as possible; safe passing is the responsibility of the overtaking rider.

Drafting is not allowed. Crossing the centerline will result in disqualification.

Registration fees are $15 per race or $55 for the 4-race series.

Prizes:

  1. Series standings will be based on the racer’s combined three fastest finishing times up the hill (racers may skip one race of the series or drop their slowest time to be scored in the series standings). The top ten racers n the series standings in each category (open and open women) will receive medals.

  2. The two riders with the fastest one-night men’s and women’s times of the month will be awarded $50.

  3. Awards will be available for pickup as soon as results are certified following the final race of the series. There will be no awards ceremony. If you choose to wait for results, please avoid congregating in a way inconsistent with social distancing. We prefer you head home following the race and make arrangements by using the contact form to collect prizes or receive in the mail.
